Financial planning done properly is not a product delivered at scale. It is a relationship built on genuine understanding of your situation, your goals, and your life.
I work with a deliberately small number of clients at any time. Not as a limitation — as a commitment. The depth of work required to build a financial plan that actually holds cannot be rushed, and it cannot be scaled without losing what makes it valuable.
I am a CFP® professional — Certified Financial Planner, the global standard defined by FPSB and held by very few fee-only advisers in India. I follow the financial planning process it defines. What I bring to that process is preparation, rigour, and the willingness to ask the uncomfortable questions that generic plans skip entirely.
"I would rather do this well for a few than adequately for many. Every client gets my full attention — not a share of it."
The engagement runs on tools I built myself — structured apps for your financial data, risk profile, and money psychology, feeding an advisor dashboard I use to prepare for every session with your actual numbers in front of me, not a vague memory of the last conversation. Our time together goes into thinking and planning, not paperwork.
Each stage builds on the previous one. Nothing is rushed. The plan emerges from a genuine understanding of your situation — not from a template applied to it.
First conversation
Before any engagement begins, we have a conversation. Its purpose is simple — to understand whether there is a genuine fit between your situation and what I do.
I want to understand where you are financially, professionally, and personally. You want to understand how I work and whether my approach feels right. There is no obligation on either side. If it is not the right fit — for any reason — I will say so directly.
This conversation happens by phone or video call. No preparation needed.
Onboarding
Once we agree to work together, you sign the Investment Advisory Agreement and the initial planning fee is collected. I share structured data templates covering your assets, liabilities, investments, insurance, income, expenses, and upcoming life events.
I also share a discovery questionnaire that goes beyond the financial data — your goals, what money has meant to you across your life, what you are working toward, and what a good financial outcome actually looks like for you specifically.
I review everything before we meet. A minimum of 45 minutes of preparation so our first session starts with understanding, not data collection.
Planning
We start with a thorough financial audit — net worth, cash flow, insurance gaps, debt, and existing investments. The numbers first, clearly laid out, without assumptions.
We then turn to the qualitative work — your values, your real relationship with money, your goals stated honestly and prioritised. Your risk tolerance gets assessed across four sources — stated tolerance, capacity, time horizon, and demonstrated behaviour — not a five-question form that takes two minutes. This is the work most financial planning skips.
From there: goal planning, insurance adequacy, tax planning, portfolio construction, and an Investment Policy Statement that becomes your decision-making constitution. And throughout — the behavioural work. What will you do when markets fall 30%? The answer needs to be built into the plan before the question becomes real.
Ongoing
Once a year, a formal annual review — plan versus actuals, net worth refresh, goals realignment, tax planning, portfolio hygiene. The plan is updated, not just reviewed.
Between reviews, access for questions that genuinely need input. Life events trigger unscheduled reviews — a job change, inheritance, health event, or significant market movement. The plan responds to your life, not the other way around.
What you have at the end of a planning engagement that you did not have at the start.
Net worth, cash flow, insurance gaps, debt — without assumptions or guesswork. The baseline most people have never properly established.
Your financial constitution. What you own and why, what you will and will not do, what triggers a review. Decisions made in advance so they are not made badly under pressure.
Goals stated specifically, prioritised honestly, and connected to a strategy. Not a generic retirement number — a plan built around your actual life.
Not just whether the plan is fundable, but what breaks it — a downturn at the wrong moment, an income disruption, dying too soon or living too long. Scenarios run in advance, not discovered the hard way.
Most plans don't fail because the advice was wrong. They fail because the client never executed it. I map how you make decisions, absorb information, and follow through, then shape how the plan gets delivered — the level of detail, the meeting structure, the automation you actually need — around that. A plan is only as good as whether you actually act on it.
Someone you can reach when something significant changes. Who will not tell you what you want to hear when what you need to hear is different.
I would rather tell you this now than have you find out later.
I do not manage your money. I advise on it. Every transaction is executed by you — on your own account, through your own platforms, with your own credentials. You stay in control.
I do not pick stocks or time the market. My approach is evidence-based and cost-conscious — low-cost index funds form the foundation. The evidence for this is clear and I am happy to share it.
The engagement has a structure — planning sessions and an annual review. Between formal touchpoints I am available for questions that genuinely need input. Not daily portfolio commentary.
If you are looking for someone to manage your investments on an ongoing basis or execute trades on your behalf — I am not the right fit. I would rather tell you that now and point you in the right direction.
No commissions. No trail fees. No product incentives. Ever. I am paid entirely by you — which means the only question I have answered when I recommend something is whether it is right for you.
Fees are fixed and agreed before signing. No surprises.
All fees inclusive of applicable taxes. The scope and complexity of your specific situation is discussed during the first conversation — before any commitment is made.
No preparation needed. No commitment implied. Just an honest conversation about where you are and whether this is the right fit.
